Renting points and getting tickets/meal plan?

If we want to rent point for a stay during the august/spetember time when they are offering the free meal plan, is it possible to rent points form a DVC member then purchase the tickets as and add-on thru Disney and get the free meal plan?
ANy idea of what the cost would be? Thanks!!

No, you must purchase a package with a full price room through CRO to get the free dining plan.

No, you can buy the DDP without having to buy tickets...but no free DDP.

If you get the big savings of renting a DVC unit, you wont get "free" dining, but the cost of the dinning plan is still a decent deal at $39/person/day.

You can get it at a DVC resort, but you have to go through CRO and pay full rack rate for the room. Compare the full room cost plus tickets with CRO vs the rented points and paying for the dining plan (ticket purchase not required).
