Renting out points with davids

How does the process work. I noticed on the form they ask for your membership number. Why is that? Do you grant them access to your account?

Why not contact David's - the contact info is on his site and ask them directly why they need your number and what they do with the info? The process for both owners and renters is described in detail on his site.

AFAIK, they do NOT access your membership. They contact you to make any reservations.

This is correct, I rented out my points through Davids this spring, and I did all the contacting of member services. They gave me all information needed, I made the reservation and they put the deposit in my paypal account. I can't recall if I had to give them my membership number or not, but they did not contact DVC about my account.

We recently contacted David's and have been THRILLED by our experience! We contacted them last week and completed the information needed to rent our points. They were able to rent all of the points we wanted within a week. This was the first time that I have ever rented our points. If we ever rent again, I will absolutely use David's.

They do not access your membership account. However, I do know that our membership number is referenced on the agreements that we signed with them.

When you rent with Dave's, can you specify the resorts and years that you want to use points from, as we have points from 4 different resorts .

Since you are the one that will actually make the reservation, you can use whatever points & membership you choose. David's finds the renter and handles all the contracts and renter contacts, but does not ever access your account.
