Renting Holding Account Points

Anyone know if points that are in the holding account can be rented out/transferred to another person? I'm currently trying to transfer my entire reservation (need to cancel upcoming trip), but if that doesn't work out, these points will go into my holding account. I seriously doubt I'll be able to use them in time.

I don't think they can be transfered but you can rent them. We had the same problem but we have a night before our cruise so I just upgraded our room to use our holding points since I new I wouldn't be back two month after our cruise. Do you have any other trips planned before they expire?

Thanks. No, I doubt I'll be able to get out to FL before August 1 (when they expire). So I'm going to hope to either rent out the reservation now or just try to rent out the points then. Thanks so much.
