Renting dvc points? Anyone done this before?

We are renting at BLT the week after Easter. It is my 1st time and we went thru David's DVC. It was super easy! We are also doing the dining plan. You have to give the DVC owner a card to secure dining plan for you so we bought Disney gift cards for the amount due and gave them that. It worked out great because we got Kroger fuel points too for buying the gift cards.
