Renting DVC points and the meal plan

I am a newbie and am interested in renting points for a 2008 trip. How does the dining plan work when you are renting from a DVC'er? I assume the owner would have to set this up when making the reservation for the renter. Is this correct?

Yes, the owner needs to set up the dining plan through member services. You will pay for the plan when you check-in at the resort.

Remember there have been changes to the plan for 2008, and that server gratuity and appetizers are no longer included in the standard plan, so you may want to do a quick recheck of your figures to see if having the plan is still advantageous to you.
