renting dvc points and resort availability

Is there a difference between resort availability between the 2 well known rental companies?
I tried the 1st company and they replied with no availability at all for my dates (christmas week)
The other well known company has a whole list of resorts available when i plug in my dates .

i was not looking at confirmed reservations- shouldnt the availability be the same on both sites?

The only way to know what is actually available is on the DVC website that members have access to in real time,

The rental brokers have snapshots that are done at certain times. Things with DVC change all the time and something can be there now and in a few minutes or hours later gone,

It is for this reason we don’t allow members to share what is there because it changes so often.

So, that is most likely why you see such different info. And even what those sites show could be different by the time one goes to book.

One of the well-known sites isn't showing availability, just costs. A lot of people mistake that chart for availability, but were you to email them they would tell you there is nothing.

And keep in mind that while a site may list "no availability", that doesn't mean that there aren't people who might be selling an existing reservation for those dates.
