Renting car - using Disney Car Car Center pick up

I'm hoping someone can offer me some tips.

We are heading down to WDW in March, and are looking to rent a car for 1 day (so that we can visit a relative who lives in the area). We want to pick the car up early in the morning, and then return it that same evening. I am aware that if we rent from National or Alamo, and use the Disney Car Car Center as the pick up location, they will send a shuttle to the resort to pick us up.

I am wondering if anyone knows what discounts are offered to Annual Pass Holders or DVC members (I've been looking but seem to keep coming up with different numbers)?

Also, I've been told it's better to call then to book online - do you agree?

When you make your rental the DCC is one of the listed options. They tell you to call about an hour before your scheduled time so they can pick you up. You have a small advatage staying at BLT, because the DCC is right there in the Mk area.

They will pick you up and drop you off anywhere on Disney property. Last year they did the MK both times for me, even though I was staying at Pop.

Keep in mind you can also take a bus to DTD and walk to one of the hotels there that has a rental car counter.

Buena Vista Palace has an Alamo desk
Regal Sun Resort has Dollar
and The Hilton has Hertz, I think

We got a one day (overnight) rental from Dollar for 2/8-2/9 for $33.
Pick up at Regal Sun and drop at MCO

We have used this Dollar rental location a few times and never had any issues
You just have to watch the hours open, though
