We are going to be picking up a rental car at the Dolphin on the second day of our trip. We will be in EPCOT all that afternoon and evening through the CP and Illuminations. I know they rental car counter closes at 4.

If I get over there before 4 to get the keys, will I be allowed to leave the car in the Dolphin parking lot for the rest of the day, or will I be forced to drive the car around to the EPCOT lot? We're also thinking of checking out the Boardwalk after EPCOT closes, so I'd prefer to leave the car over there until we are done for the night. Anyone ever done this? Thanks!

I think you should be able to do this. When you go to the rental counter, tell them of your plans. Melissa is great and should be able to accomodate you.

HTH!!! :teeth:

Your only snag may be that you don't get the car from the lot yourself, at the Dolphin they have the Valet deliver it around once your done with the paperwork.

When we rented from the Dolphin in October we went to the counter, did the paper work and got a slip for the Valet. When we gave the valet the rental slip he brought the car around and gave us the keys. I imagine you could then just drive it to the lot and park it.

I don't think you can do the paperwork without getting the car from valet, I doubt the valet can retreive the car after the rental agency has closed.

Good luck, even parking at Epcot won't be that much of a hassle - worst case!

Dosn't the Dolphin charge for parking now?
