Renting at booked resorts

Hello!

I am looking into using points and had a question about resort availability. If it is unavailable through the regular booking sites, does that mean it is unavailable to use points? I am new to this and still learning so bare with me!!

No. The inventory available for points is completely separate from that available to be booked for cash through the official website or the Disney Reservation Center.

The only way to find out what is available for DVC points is to call Member Services. You can also book online at the member site, but sometimes MS has access to space that the online booking doesn't even have with the fluidity of reservations and cancellations.

Your title says "renting" so I'm not sure if you are a DVC member or not. If not, you will not be able to call Member Services to check availability.
