Renting a scooter with no advance notice?

Is it likely that my parents would be able to rent a scooter from an off-site company with no advance notice? They're going to WDW next month and say they don't need scooters. However, I strongly suspect that since it's their first trip, they just don't know how much walking is involved. I'm afraid that after a few days, it'll just become too much for them and they'll break down and want to rent scooters for the rest of their trip. Will they be able to, or will they be probably out of luck at that point?

My experience has been I can get one for the next day. I use Walker Mobility.

I have heard next day from posters besides the previous poster.

What I have suggested in the past is taking the numbers of several companies. That way if one can't provide an ECV, you have other options. Also, if they get to a park before 11am there is a good chance they will be able to rent from rhe park - more expensive than off site and no guarantee though.

I called Apple at 5ish, and had a scooter by 8:00 the next morning.

In December, my DH decided to drive down and join me for a few days. His scooter won't fit in his car, so I went online and searched for a few companies. I was looking for a scooter identical to his (A Pride Victory 10). Buena Vista Scooters uses them, but was sold out, but found another company that had them. Got it the next day. It turned out to be a Pride Victory 9, but it did the job.

Thanks so much everyone. This makes me feel a lot better. Maybe my parents will surprise me and be able to handle all the walking, but then again....
