I am taking my three girls (age 3, 3 and 1) to disneyland in a few weeks. I've been dozens of times but this is their first trip. I shoot with a Canon 6D (full frame) and my primary lens is a 50mm 1.4. I am going to rent a lens with a shorter focal length because I'm sure it'll be difficult to get far enough back with my 50mm in some situations and I'd like to have more flexibility. I was thinking about the 35mm 1.4L - do you think that will still be too limiting? I'm mostly looking to take shots of my girls on rides, with characters, etc. and I prefer prime to zoom. Thanks for any input!

What are your choices from the rental place? How about Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II?

that would work but there are others option, e.g. buy a 28mm 1.8 or 28mm 2.8 for around $300 (used on POTN)
and if the focal length is not to your liking simply sell it for around the same price
