Has anyone had a good experience doing this. The prices seem suprisingly reasonable. I particularly like the ones on the loyalty website. I`d appreciate any input.
We've used Hayes Vacation Home Rentals twice. Her prices include all taxes. Try www.hayesvacationrentals.com . Also, I've seen www.vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner) suggested on these boards several times. I recommended it to a friend of mine last summer, and she rented a condo in Panama City Beach (and loved it!). The prices on vrbo seem to be open to negotiation, so I'd sure try to get a discount.
I would like to know how your kids liked this after you stay. I had done a lot of research for our trip a few months ago and thought long and hard about renting a nice house. I was willing to pay what I would for a nice hotel room and I would have gotton a nice house for the money. My only problem was I kept thinking my kids would have a better time at a hotel (they were 7 & 2 at the time). We stayed for 9 days but were only going to the parks for 4 of those days so we had planned to "hang around" the "house" or "hotel" and get some pool time in. That is what swayed me to stay in a hotel. My son and daughter had a fantastic time playing with other children in the pools and game room. They didn't have to keep each other company which I think was also a vacaction for them We originally were booked at DxL but decided to change to HIFS when we got the Buy One Night get one night free offer. Anyway, both children still got their own bed (bunk beds) and dh and I had our own bedroom along with a small "living room". We still had enough room and breakfast (hot and free) lunches and dinners were NOT cooked by me and our room was cleaned every morning (NOT by me )The next time we go to WDW, we will either try to get a good price at HIFS or book 2 adjoining rooms at a moderate. Just a thought.

That is certainly something to think about. We stayed at a condo this year without alot of activities and it wasn`t a problem. With four kids ages 3-9 they are used to playing together with no other children around.
I find that whenever my children are playing with other children i end up watching all of them. I don`t find that very relaxing. I think people just think " what`s one more." Honestly this happens to me all of the time.
I was considering HIFS but thought that they might be a bit small.
Although I didn`t like the particular condo that we had I loved the amount of space. We have done the ajoining room thing and found it way too cramped.
Our kids loved it both times. The company we rented from also has some houses with pool slides (although neither of the houses we rented had them). Next time I think we will request the ones with the slide.
Thanks for the information. I actually emailed that company for additional information and received a response very quickly, they also gave me the number of the Better Business Bureau of Central Fla. to check them out.
