No. I have my own auto insurance plus I have a credit card with secondary coverage.

Thank you, we also have our own auto coverage, spoke to the agent and we will have coverage, the same on our cars and we have a car with coverage too. I wasn't sure if that was enough coverage or if we needed more. This was the answer I was looking for.

we pass as well.... we are also covered under our current auto insurance.

If you pass............make sure your own insurance covers you in a accident. The rental car company continues to charge you the daily rate for the days the car is being repaired.

With a good credit card that has the insurance thing like a gold or platinum card usually does you NEVER need to pay for that and can always pass on it. However if you drive in Jamaica or Ireland it is mandatory and you have to pay for it or they wont rent to you. I think they are like the only two places in the world that will happen.

My VISA has Primary Rental Coverage, as does my Auto Insurance. No need for expensive rental company coverage.

Thank you all so much, this is exactly what I was wanting to hear. I know our auto policy will cover the rental car exactly like our owned cars and we do have a platinum card to cover everything else. We are set!
