Check out www.carrentalsavers.com they have codes and discounts if you have an Amex visa or master card for various car rental companies

It would probably be the same expense to take the train to DC. If you are staying at a hotel, it is certainly cheaper as parking costs at the hotel and all over the city are really expensive.

I have used the website used above for codes and I have used hotwire.com to rent a car also with no problems.

I just rented a mini van through Costco Travel! I saved $150 more than the best price I had researched through Hotwire, Expedia etc! They have revised their search to include any coupon codes currently available plus your Costco discount! I am renting a minivan for 11 days for $540 including taxes and fees!
