Rental Car

We are going to be in Orlando next July 9 thru the 19. six days of that will be at Disney. Can anyone tell me the tricks to getting a good deal on a rental car. There will be 7 of us, me,my wife,our 7 year old triplet daughters and my inlaws. We would need a minivan. Thanks for any addvice.

I keep checking rates up until the day I leave. You can always make a reservation now at the best rate you find and cancel it and make another if you find a lower rate later.
Use codes like those found at http://www.pcpages.com/rentalcodes/
You will find that most of the codes expire before your trip, so you may have to wait awhile to get the best deal.

Also check out mousesavers.com for any new codes and all of Mary's information about the rental companies. We have rented from several places.. and have found that it's worth a few extra $$ to rent from National, Dollar or Avis as they are onsite at the airport - so a bit less hassle.

I got a $199 weekly rate on Dollar for a minivan by using the code: CARD (as listed on Mousesavers). But I have also reserved a van at National - I just keep checking the sites every so often (and when I find a new code or coupon).

As smart cookie suggested, I would get online now and check out the rates... then if it gets lower - just cancel one and reserve the next.
