Rental Car Return & Gas Receipt at MCO

Do you cut across on Epcot Center Drive to World Center Drive and pick up Central Florida Greenway #417 then to Boggy Creek. If so what side of the road is the Shell Station on?

Whatever I would ask when renting from now on..

We've rented at MCO probably 25 times in the last 10 years. Used Alamo, Budget, Dollar, & National and have never been asked to produce a receipt.

Up to you to believe or not to... But I know dollar got me... Just do a google search on it .. It has happened to others at MCO..

And they made a point of telling me at the dollar counter and when I returned the car to MCO the attendant ask to see my receipt.

Doesn't work for you going Eastbound, but for those going Westbound, I always stop at the BP or 7-11 on Narcoosee Road.
The BP is easier in & out than the 7-11, but either are ok. The prices there might be a few cents higher than elsewhere, but its a lower-traffic area and they are right beside the exit so don't have to worry about delays sitting at traffic lights, etc.
Just take Exit 13 if coming from the east.

Some companies ask for a gas receipt but IME it has been clearly stated at time of rental so it shouldn't come as a surprise.

I have experienced this with Dollar in Philadelphia and Alamo in Michigan so now I just make it a point to hold on to my gas receipt every time I rent.

Where is a good place on BeachLine #528 East Bound to fill up before returning to MCO with the rental car.


I see there is a 7-11 Gas Station just off of Exit 8 but that is very close to the Airport, Gas might be really high there?

Anyone else know a good place within 10 miles of the airport for a quick fill up?

After you get off the Beachline, at the airport exit, head away from the airport. Go about a mile or so down 436 and you will see a 7-11 and a touch further a Racetrac station both on the right. Both have reasonably priced gas. I used to buy my gas there on the way home from work (Racetrack). Whatever you do, AVOID the two stations (opposite each other) on 436, they are horribly priced.

So you are saying get off at exit 11 and head north on #436, I'm looking on google maps and can make out which gas station on the right you are talking about? Which intersection is it near and which interestion are the 2 gas stations to avoid near?

We stopped at that Narcoosee Road station last October when we were flying home from when we were staying in Melbourne. You are right, works good if going westbound into the airport.

Race Trac - 5405 S Semoran Blvd & Turnbull Drive. 3.25 today. Both are on the right and are where you can cross over this very busy road via a light to head back to the airport.

The ones to avoid are: Sun Gas - 5600 Butler National cross St. Semoran (436). 5.39 today
Suncoast energies - 5928 Butler National cross St. Semoran (436). same price.

GREAT, I am glad!!! I had to laugh when you asked about intersections. I am really bad about street names when I don't travel on them, I have absolutely no sense of direction and I cannot read a map. When I first moved here, everytime I left my driveway it was an adventure. I have since learned about Mapquest.

I rented from AVIS a couple of weeks ago at MCO for a 5-day rental. I heard the agent tell the person ahead of me at the counter that he must present a gas receipt if he drove less than 75 miles. I don't know how many days his rental covered; it may have been one day or many. I was not told anything by the agent regarding a gas receipt.

We had breakfast near Universal Studios and I filled up near Sand Lake Road and I-4. I turned in the car without any problems and was not asked for a gas receipt.

I remember being told by one of the agents at one of the rental agencies a number of years ago to keep my gas receipt but don't recall the specifics...

On my visits over the last 3 years or so with a rental at MCO I have filled up near Disney the night before the flight with no problems and was never asked for a gas receipt. The agencies included Hertz, Alamo, and AVIS.
