Rental Car prices Oct 1-10???

Just curious what other people are getting and with what companies. I have to use one that accepts debit. I have National right now for $269 and I have seen in the past others posting better. I would like to get this lower if anybody has any suggestions. I used priceless code and entertainment coupon.

I got our great rates (8 days for $128.93 intermediate using priceless and entertainment coupon) for fall back in late April/early May when car rental companies were running scared because of Magical Express starting May 5. Since then, I haven't see it less than about $200. I would suggest you continue to watch the National site and check it periodically because they traditionally lower the price as the dates get closer (unless it's a popular time to go and they are running out of cars).

I currently am holding two reservations. I can't decide which I want to do.

October 2 - 15th (two weeks)

Mid-size with Thirfty.. $241.76
Full Size SUV (seats 8) with National.... $590.00

There are 8 of us, however the other family will also have their own car. I am still debating whether I want to rent a car that will seat everyone. I thought it might be nice when we go out to be able to have one car to go somewhere.

We just got a reservation for 9/15 to 9/23 with Dollar (the rate finally lowered a little) for $176.02 for 8 days for an Intermediate.

approx $180 for one week in early October. I haven't found anything cheaper, yet.
