Rental Car - Port of Miami

I will need to rent a car when we disembark in Miami this December. I would like to be able to do this as quickly as possible as I have to drive back to Orlando to catch a flight. It just worked out best this way.

What is the best way to accomplish this? Do they have a rental location at the port, or should I try to catch a shuttle to the airport?

Also, any tips to avoid waiting in line for a long time?

We are doing the same and have rented a car from Budget. There is a shuttle to the airport, which from my research, seems the easiest way.
