Trying to decide between Limo and Rental Car for 7 day trip coming soon. Have DS (3 1/2) with me - staying on-site at OKW and CR - want to go to all 4 parks plus one of the water parks and just maybe DTD and for a grocery trip

Limo looks like about $115 with tip - FL Tours $95 less $5 coupon + $9 MK toll + tip

Car Rental - can get an intermediate with Avis at MCO for about US$180 for the trip

I know Disney transport is very good but looking for opinions and advice here

Thanks
Jason

While Disney Transporation is very good and you can live without a rental, we always rent a car (except our first trip to WDW in 1998)...

It's so convenient getting to the grocery store or Walmart if you forgot something. It's convenient to get to other resorts or to DTD.

It's great to transport your stroller when you have kids.

We can't live without one now. We also split our trip between WDW and Universal so there's an added incentive for us. By the time you factor in the transport from the airport to WDW and then getting around there and then the transport to Universal and then back to the airport it can cost us quite a bit with a Town car or limo.

We've got a Full size for 7 days for only $111. TOTAL at National using our Disney Club discount and coupon! Can't beat that rate!

But like I said, you can certainly live without a rental if you have to but it's a nice luxury for getting places like DTD and other resorts and emergencies if you can afford it!

Good luck!

You can probably get an economy car from Dollar for $99 per week at MCO. With taxes, etc. it'll be more than a limo by a little, but I find it pays to have your own wheels. The only reason we're doing the TownCar thing next trip is that there will be 8 adults and a toddler and a van that holds that many goes for hundreds more per week. You'll find the car handy for the waterpark visit and for resort hopping should you decide to visit other WDW properties.
