Rental Car for 5

Can a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children ages 13,11,7) fit comfortably in a midsize car?

I am trying to keep my costs to a minimum. I was originally planning on renting a minivan because that is what I drive at home.

For those of you with 3 children, please let me know what size car you rent and what a good price would be.

I have 3 kids, but they are all under 5 yo. I would think that you would need a full size or larger..... Just think about the luggage!

Last January we rented a full size, 4-door for our family of 5. We had 3 dd's 13, 11 and 4 at the time. This was about as small a car as I would want to go. Luggage all fit in the truck as well as a stroller.

We rented from National and paid about $211 for 10 days.

I think I will plan on a fullsize. I have reading about National and have just joined the Emerald Club.

These boards are great and are so a HUGE help in my planning.
