Rental car at MCO alternative

The rental car prices are so high- $1021 for a minivan

If we ride ME to WDW, where can be pick up a rental car? How can we get to the rental place?

How do I search for a car at one of these locations?

Will this be cheaper than renting at MCO?

Have you done this and how did it go?

National and Alamo have rental counters at the Car Care Center near the MK and at the Dolphin. For the CCC you can call and arrange a shuttle to pick you up. The Dolphin is one of the Epcot area resorts so you can get there via the Epcot or DHS bus, then boat or walk or take a taxi directly to the resort.

I think Hertz is at Shades of Green. Most of the major rental companies have counters at one of the hotels at hotel plaza adjacent to DTD and you can usually walk or call and arrange a shuttle.

As far as rates, they will vary depending on specials, codes, length of rental. time of year and type of vehicle.

We've rented at the Dolphin. The hours for the counter are shorter than the CCC, but it was quick and easy. Returning the car there was especially easy; just hand the keys to the valet any time of day or night and they will give you a receipt.

We always use priceline.... we bid for a lower price and have never paid more than 15-17$ per day for a car, usually mid size or a SUV.

If you are sure about your dates, and sure you want a rental car this has always worked out to be the cheapest option for us.

Over 1000$ for a rental is outrageous!

I went with an Enterprise weekend rate they picked me up and dropped off for $55 Friday to Monday with taxes. I only needed the car a few days to get to some off site activities and food stops. Oh and Medieviel Knights one evening.
