Rental Car - any good rates for early March? Or, Priceline?

Just booked a trip for March 5-11. We are a family of 5 with 3 teens so we ideally need a minivan, but prices are really high!

Thinking of bidding on Priceline - has anyone done this, and have you been happy? What rental companies did you get?

I LOVE Priceline! I've used them for lots of MCO rentals, and I almost always get Avis or Alamo. All of the companies they deal with are on-site at the airport, except for Hertz. We did get Hertz once, but their shuttle buses are right there waiting so it wasn't bad at all. Once you find your very best rate, bid below that with Priceline. If you get your bid, great. If not, you're not out anything. A message may come up telling you that you are bidding too low, but just ignore it. I get that all the time and I still get my car.
If you haven't already, you may want to run prices via Orbitz and see how much it is at Thrifty. They are offsite, but right across from Hertz, and their shuttles are prompt too. There are some other offsite companies, but I've seen mixed reviews on them. Hertz and Thrifty are the only two I would personally use if the price is right. Good luck!
