I see all these posts concerning renting or transferring points for $9-$11 per point. I must ask the obvious question of how these transactions are being handled without money changing hands. Or is the answer as obvious as well?

DVC members are expressly allowed to rent the points for $$$ but are forbidden from transferring for $$$. DVC has chosen not to enforce this issue either and there's no real reason for them to. It would seem ironic that it's OK to rent points but not to transfer them for $$$, but that's the way the rules read.
I don't see DVC ever enforcing this rule ( no transferring for $$$). IMHO, the rule is only there so that DVC does not have to get in the middle of any dispute. Members who are involved in the transaction have to settle any problems without the help of DVC.
