So this is probably common knowledge and I am just out of the loop....but I had to share. I leave for Orange County on Friday. Today Hertz sent me the standard email; “your trip is coming up…here is what you need to know” type email. For grins and giggles decided to see if the rates had dropped any. Guess what; THEY DID!!! From 240 total for a week (which I thought was a good deal); down to $113 for the week. SCORE!!! I didn’t know that the rates would go down closer to the trip. Filled out an easy form and they already emailed me the new confirmation.

I figured this out over a year ago. I now always check rates over and over as I get closed and have saved a lot of money because they have gone down.
