We are thinking of going to Fort Wilderness this fall following a 4 night cruise on the Dream. We will only be staying 4 days but would love to experience the fort. I received a 40% pin from Disney for the cabins. I am torn between renting a cabin or renting a RV. We have our own trailer but are flying down.

If we rent the RV would it be better to get a premium site or a full hookup? We would be renting a fifth wheel from myrvhotel.com. We only can stay 3 nights so the other rental places are out.

I checked into this and found with an annual pass discount of 35% it was cheaper to just rent a cabin. Since you have a 40% off pin number it would be even better for you. Don't forget that you have to still rent a site and the cost is added to the motor home rent.:teacher: Add mousekeeping, full size appliances including a dish washer, lots of clean towels and hot water and room to move around, and you have a winner with the cabin.

I was afraid I would be the only one to say "go with the cabin." I haven't been on a Disney cruise but after any other cruise, I know it takes a few days to get acclimated back to the "real world." Even though I love camping as much as cruising, maybe more, going straight from a cruise to camping might be too much of a shock to my system!

If you could, I would rent a golf cart for at least part of your stay so you can fully explore the Fort.

I also think it will depend on how much time you plan to spend at the Fort vs. the Parks.

Rent a cabin. It will be a good bridge between the cruise and real life.

40 percent off,,,,,,,,,,, cabin for sure. :thumbsup2
