Renewing PAP, Memory Maker, using UT ticket

I can't seem to find a definite answer on this...

We are a family of 4 with PAPs which expire on Dec 14, 2015.
I THINK that we bought these PAPs (vouchers) when the PAPs were the same price as the APs (April of 2014). We have not used any of premium benefits to the passes this time (waterpark, Disney quest).
We also have 8 day park hopper vouchers purchased through UT.
We will be in WDW from Dec 7-22, 2015.

Questions:
1) Can I upgrade my pass to a gold pass, at start of vacation, in order to get the memory maker? At what cost?
2) On last day of vacation (after PAPs expired) can I "bridge" the 8 day park hopper towards a RENEWAL for gold passes? At what cost?
3) What days will the memory maker cover? Does it matter if I change my ticket to the gold pass at the start of the vacation (ie - will the gold tickets from the last day cover pictures of our vacation retroactively)?

My current plan is/was:
through the 14th - use our current PAPs (without changing any to gold for MM)
15th - 22nd - use the UT tickets
on the 22nd - "bridge" the UT tickets to renew to the DVC Gold APs (not clear if this can be a renewal or not)
I wasn't planning on getting the MM but I'm now thinking that it might be easy/cheap/free to do, so I might. :)

Hope my questions are clear. I'm pretty confused over this right now. Any help will be appreciated and I'd love to hear from those who have done this or something similar. Thanks!

I can only say that #2 is possible.

On #1, I can't say what value will be applied towards the "upgrade" but it will probably be the discounted price you paid for the tickets.

#3 seems to be a complicated question because people are still figuring this out. I've seen some people say they could download any photos in their account, even those taken before the pass was valid. So you might not need to upgrade. You may be able to use the PAP and all it's benefits, and then just renew it to a gold pass and still download all your photos. The Theme Park forum would probably have more experience with that. If you do "upgrade" your pass, it takes on the original date of activation, so it would be valid retroactively for all photo downloads.

Thanks supersnoop. Are you confirming it's possible to bridge to an AP at a renewal price? When I think about it, it ALMOST makes sense... we aren't SURE we're going to get another AP (due to the price change), so we got the UT tickets. But, after time goes by, we decide we do indeed want to renew, so we want to "credit" our UT tickets towards the AP at a renewal price.

I'll post the question over on the Theme park board, too. Good suggestion.

Yes, you can apply the value of a MYW Ticket towards the cost of renewing an Annual Pass. If the MYW Ticket was purchased at a discount and used prior to the upgrade, they will price bridge the MYW Ticket.
