Remy’s single rider line is problematic and inefficient

I'm almost always solo, and yes, this is different from what a solo usually encounters at WDW, with the bench seating. The only single riders lines where I was seated with others were Test Track and SDMT, both of which have a form of separation between the seats. I'm glad I've been forewarned-I'll probably wear long pants (going the end of January, so it should be OK)-just don't really want skin on skin contact (I'd be embarrassed). Otherwise, it's just something that may happen.

I've absolutely been seated with a stranger on BTMRR... only in WDW though FWIW. It was as awkward as you imagine!
oh gosh, I have to hold the side of the train for me to not squish into my FRIEND! (like cross your arms and reach underneath your outside arm to hold on haha)

I’m sure you could express your concerns to a CM but is just part of the game and keeps everything moving along nicely. If that same single person waited in the standby line with other single who were sat alone I imagine the overall line would be a lot longer.
Not if the single rider just keeps going on over and over again where they can go on it 3-5 times during that 45 minute time frame

I wish the CMs would adjust dependent on size. DH and I were put on Frozen with two larger adults and we are not
small people ourselves. We were very squished and it was very awkward. DH has not wanted to ride it since. We had the same situation on the safari on a very hot day with sweaty strangers and the bouncy ride was not pleasant.

In Florida where it can be very hot and people can be very sweaty, it is very uncomfortable to be squashed up against other sweaty strangers. I am fine with Everest, TT, and other rides that have either seat blocks or don't move around a lot, but some rides are just not a good fit for filling every seat, imo. I feel like the smaller benches of the Rat ride fall into this category, unless the CMs take the time to take size into account, which I am not sure they have the time to do.

Your description reminds me of this:
