removing the dining plan

Has anyone else noticed this message on MouseSavers.com site?

"A little bird tells me a special discounted Walt Disney World vacation package for late October through Christmas is coming very soon -- keep checking back!"

Do you think this could be free dining offered over that time?
We currently have the dining package paid for. If by chance the free dining is released again, could I call and get a credit for the plan? What did people do who had it booked and paid for in the case of when free dining was offered for Aug-Oct?

I don't think Disney will continue the free dining plan -- that was a loss leader to get people to the resorts during the peak hurricane period (after last year's battering of FL). Historically, Disney's special discounts have taken the form of a discount code that offers savings on a WDW package vacation (hotel and park admission). Some past codes offered some major savings. If you had an existing reservation, you called Disney and asked them to apply the code to your reservation. If your package was paid in full, you could get a credit to use while at Disney or you might have asked for a refund.
