We are going to get a gas log set for our stone fireplace. Some of the stones are soot-blackened and I'd love to clean them up a bit. Any suggestions???

Thanks!

I wonder if Oxyclean would work? It seems to work on EVERYTHING else...

I also found a reference on the 'Net about using 'Washing Soda' and warm water. The reference said you can find it in the aisle that contains the laundry soap....

Good luck!

I have some oxyclean. I'll try that. THANKS!

Go online to a store called Plow and Hearth. This catalog has everthing for fireplaces.

Good Luck!:bounce:
