i took the liberty of sending a message to this group this morning (autism on the seas.) this is the reply that i just received (through facebook) so, that seems to be the final and official word. She's a lying sack of lies. ;)

Nice detective work!!!

Detective work? Hardly. I just sent them a message. I figured it was the sane thing to do.

I figured it would be pointless to post this on McClains facebook page as she's just deleting any message at all that doesn't back up her assertion.

Then again, I think if I post it on my facebook wall and then LINK to her she can see it, but cannot do anything about it. Hmm. We could all do the same.

I noticed the same thing about her page, lol!

Our family has a Disney cruise booked for August with Autism on the Seas. We did receive an email from AOTS today explaining the changes with the Disney cruise line. DCL will no longer permit AOTS staff or parents in the youth centers during drop off times. On RCL and on prior DCL cruises, special needs children were able to participate during these drop off times with the aid of AOTS staff. With this change, AOTS will set up their own respite in a different area of the ship for only their sailors. DCL did add times that their youth centers will be open for all, but children will need to be with a parent. During those times families sailing with AOTS will be able to sign their kids in with AOTS and not need to be present. I do have the detailed email if people want me to post it. I have read of an issue on a prior cruise with AOTS on these boards, but I do not know if this incident is what prompted the change.

Wow, it seems AotS is a little slow on the response!

These policies have been in place on DCL for almost 2 years now (hmm...since shortly after the "incident" you reference). However, I believe AotS has not made that clear to their DCL cruisers and their website made it seem as though their staff could do things that are not allowed by DCL. Many people have been taken by surprise with their lack of clarity regarding these issues. It's about time AotS made it clear what they could and could not do on DCL.

I hope you enjoy your cruise!

I find this FB site to be not only cruel but has no shame. They will post the names of people who do not agree and ask the mob to "explain" things. It's creepy bizarre.

They probably see this as an opportunity to grow their business. This is all basically PR work for their advocacy group. How better to make a name for yourself than taking on a big corporation while pretending to care?:sad2:
