This is why we only carry ID and magic bands plus an emergency twenty in our pockets. Fanny pack may be helpful if you need a little more space.
Like the bad guys can call another bad guy in their city and say hey this house is empty they are down here in Florida.
I had put my glasses down at the bathroom counter in the Castle. I had forgotten about my glasses and walked out. Only a few minutes later returned to the bathroom to find the glasses were gone. I checked with Lost and Found everyday with no luck. Who would want someone's else glasses?
I once came out of the or and someone had swiped my glasses-they'd switched them with a different pair-
There are some bizarrely strange folks in the world.....
Back to op-that's just awful for your parents & im hoping they're back on track enjoying their vacation.
I hope security cameras have tracked down the nasty woman; out of curiosity -do you know which bathroom?
I'm not sure which bathroom but I know it was at Epcot
Rather them be safe than sorry I guess right?I lost my wallet, with my driver's license in it, about a year ago at WDW. It was the day before we left, so we didn't have time to do much about it, and I didn't have any other form of TSA approved ID with me. After making some inquiries about what to do, we were told to go through the TSA line as usual and tell the agent who checks IDs that mine had been lost. He called over a supervisor, who questioned me a little and looked at the other things I had with my name on them (credit cards, AAA card, etc). I then had to go through "enhanced screening," which involved an incredibly thorough pat-down and an extensive hand search of my purse and carryon and everything in them, including having everything, including my shoes, swabbed for explosive residue. It probably took about 20-25 minutes for the whole process, and it wasn't bad at all. Everyone involved was professional and courteous. We've learned from the experience, and we always bring out passports with us now as a back up, and we just lock them in the hotel's room safe during the vacation.
To anyone who goes through the enhanced security because of lost or stolen ID, make sure you get some sort of official police report or if you are at Disney, something official from them. This aids the enhanced TSA process out tremendously.
Be careful with this though, It is possible with relative ease once, after that, you get kind of red flagged, making it next to impossible to get through.
If your mom has no other ID on her she will need to be at the Airport another hour earlier than they were planning.
This happened to my son and he spent a good hour filling out paperwork that asked for job history, last several addresses, references, criminal history, etc. Then he was patted down, his luggage hand searched and they verified his info before he was allowed through security. We almost missed out plane .
He was 21..with me and his little sister and we were on a Family vacation coming home from the Midwest..not suspicious at all but since all the incidents they take lack of ID serious.
Not sure if this will happen to your mom but be aware it is a process to get on a plane with no ID.
If she has her passport then no worries!
