Speaking of SNL...have they *ever* had Richard Dean Anderson on when they do the McGruber sketches?

Hehe...I actually liked the juxtaposition of the little old lady and the over the top rapper. SNL routinely has odd combos of host/musical guest. Keeps the show interesting.

we don't watch SNL regularly anymore - but I taped last night's. we haven't laughed that hard in quite a while. And the best part about watching it today was being able to fast forward thru JayZ.

I Loved JayZ's performance and BETTY was Amazing! Her timing is what makes her hilarious. I thought she did a great job. I was hoping for a match game skit- I loved that all the old women from the show came back for the Betty episode. It shows how respected she is!

While I am not a fan of Jay-Z I did like how he dedicated his second song to her. And I am not sure if this is true but I heard that he asked to be on the show when he heard Betty White was hosting.

She was great. The whole episode was great. I could live without Jay-Z, but the show was funny.

I LOVED Betty!!!

Unlike most people, I DVR SNL every week! Some skits are good, some are not, but that's been the case since they began 35 years ago when I started watching. I like this group, Andy and Kenan are my favorites and I have a mad crush on the News guy!!!

Betty's timing was impeccable. She did NOT dissapoint!!!

Macgruber was the only thing I thought was funny. Dusty Muffins was like a bad sequel to a comedy. Betty tried really hard but this was not a funny episode which stinks because so many of the episodes this season have been hilarious. The ICP parodies are hilarious and spot on. The old school hardcore band getting back together for the wedding, Lawence Welk, Shake Weight, the other man.

Betty was awesome! Her best skit was with her interacting with Tine Fey as the census taker. This is exactly the kind of comedy that she is best at.

I thought that much of the rest of the show was designed for us to hear shocking things from the mouth of an 88 year old, but her delivery is so great that I loved it anyway!

You'd think my 77 year old dad is hilarious, then. That man can curse like a sailor! Sometimes he makes DD uncomfortable (DH and I are definitely NOT cussers).

You should see her in that movie - Lake Placid - I nearly fell off my bed laughing because I was stunned at the lines they gave her to say. We have been calling my mother "Rose" ever since the Golden Girls - she looks very much like Betty, and acts a whole bunch like Rose.

McGruber was a bit overdone, but loved all the other sketches.

And if I were a musical guest who saw how a Facebook campaign got an 88 year old onto SNL, I'd want to be there, too - imagine the audience and ratings of the show!

Has anyone seen the "Debbie Downer" that didn't make the show? It is really hilarious. I love "Debbie Downer" and was disappointed it wasn't aired. NBC released it today.

Thanks! My son was upset that the actress was on the show and didn't do Debbie Downer. It's his favorite character!
