Reminder: Betty White hosts SNL tonight!

The radio show scene was hilarious. I was thinking about when Alec Baldwin did that skit. He is hosting next week.

Sweaty Balls!!!! :happytv:

I'll be honest. I used to watch SNL all the time, but haven't seen it in quite a whhile. I am really enjoying though. I love Betty White and that she is 88 1/2. LOL!!

Jay-z. Um, that girl has a heck of a voice, but she had a ring on her finger that looked like she balled up some aluminum foil and make a ring out of it-lol.

I love Betty White but I don't think this was the right venue for her. She seemed so stiff

I thought she was funny tonight. I loved the "lesbian sketch" and the poking on the hay ride.

I disagree-I think she seemed right in her element!!

I was just reading her wiki page.....did you know that she used to host a show that sounds like it was just like SNL in 1952? Prior to hosting, she appeared in their skits for a few years. I think she did great tonight-go Betty, she's still got it! & congrats to SNL for agreeing to have such a talented comedian host tonight!! :goodvibes

Betty was one of the best things about SNL, that show is unfortunately going downhill. The only skit I truly laughed hysterically at is the census taker one. But I do agree, she seemed to be having lots of fun and was really comfortable!

I love Betty White & from what I've read here, I gave up watching far too soon. I couldn't stand watching when she wasn't onscreen so gave up about a half hour to 45 minutes into the show. My mistake I guess. It does sound like she had fun doing the show & most folks liked what she was doing.

Lets hope she plays Grandma Mazur in the Stephanie Plum movies!

So I guess "Dusty Muffins" are the new "Schweaty Balls"!

I would quote some of that sketch but I would be banned for life!

I loved it! The "muffin" sketch was hysterical-- I also enjoyed the Golden Girls theme song bit!

Overall, I thought the sketches they had Betty do were a little too "blue" for my tastes, but she did a GREAT job and showed she was game for anything.

I liked the "census" sketch best, the Sally O'Mally bit, and the McGruder scenes.

Haven't watched SNL in years, but made it a point to last night. Betty was great! Loved the dusty muffin and census bits...and the FB comments at the beginning. :rotfl:

I thought Betty White did a great job with what she was given. they could have done so much more with her, some poking fun at her past roles maybe. I pictured a Golden Girls episode with the men dressed up as old ladies with beards and stuff. Or maybe her in the newsroom with Mr Grant.
She is a dirty old lady and she probably had a great time with the dusty muffin sketch. Have you ever seen her on any of the late night shows... IE Craig Ferguson. She is hilarious on there.
way too much McGruber, it was like watching non-stop commercials for the soon to be released movie. They could have odne so much more..

We made it about 30 minutes in. WE LOVE BETTY!!!!!! She was the hippest performer on that stage last night. It was the first time I've watched SNL in years and years.

Speaking of SNL...have they *ever* had Richard Dean Anderson on when they do the McGruber sketches?

agnes!
