Remember Warren Zevon & "Werewolves of London?"

Warren Zevon, best known for the 1978 hit "Werewolves Of London", is suffering from lung cancer that has advanced to an untreatable stage.

Since receiving the diagnosis last month, the artist has been spending time with his children and is using his time writing and recording new songs. "I'm OK with it," the always satirical Zevon joked in a statement, "but it'll be a drag if I don't make it till the next James Bond movie comes out." Rhino Records will release Genius: The Best of Warren Zevon'' on October 15th.

Werewoves of London was kind of the theme song for our governor in the last election. He even performed it at his inaugural party! While wearing a feather boa, of course!

I love Warren Zevon! I had the album with Werewolves of London and Excitable Boy on it.... Reminds me of my high school days too. Even now when I hear Werewolves of London on the radio it always makes me laugh and I always sing along, to the annoyance of DSs

What a shame that he has cancer...

I love Warren Zevon's music.
Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner, Exciteable Boy, Lawyers, Guns and Money, I Was in the House, and a really new one called "Hit Somebody" - all great stuff.

I highly recommend "Hit Somebody." It tells an amazing but hilarious story of a hockey goon. David Letterman has a cameo in it. Definitely check it out.
