I loved HBO's "Not Necessarily the News" in the 1980's, and especially Rich Hall's segment called Sniglets (words that don't appear in the dictionary but should). Here's a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TixwF_ywN4A

We even had one of his books (dictionaries) of them. I'm sure my mom still has it somewhere; I'll have to get it from her.

My family still calls people who leave their Christmas lights up all year "nerkels".

Haha! Yes...loved that! Still to this day use a "sniglet." Snarf. When you laugh so hard, whatever you were drinking, comes out of your nose. :lmao:

I still use the sniglet "destinesia" -- when you go into a room and forget WHY you went there!! Destination + amnesia. :rotfl:

I swear I have destinesia DAILY!!!;)

Rignition - when you turn the car key but the car is already running. (Re + ignition)

Carperimeter.....that one inch space near the wall that never gets vacuumed because the vacuum cleaner can't get right up to the edge.

there is a memory from the past, HBO was just getting into doing there own series, way before Sopranos and such, they had Not Necessarily The News, Larry Sanders Show and Hitchhiker

Furbling. (verb) (FER bling) Having to wander through a maze of ropes at an airport of bank even when you are the only person in line.

I think of that every time I "furble" at WDW!
