Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later's Cover Revealed

Car crashes! Kidnappings! Drug overdoses! As fans of the Francine Pascal's Sweet Valley High series quickly learned, the coastal California town could have been renamed Drama Valley.

At the center of it all: 16-year-old twins Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield, the "perfect size-six" sisters who had eyes "exactly the color of the Pacific Ocean." But what we don't know is what happened to Elizabeth (the mild one) and Jessica (the wild one) after they left the California coast.

Until now: Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later will detail the lives of the now-estranged twins and their circle of friends.

While Jessica still lives in their hometown, Elizabeth has moved to N.Y.C. – and is looking for revenge toward her sister. What did Jessica do to cause the rift? Do they still wear matching lavaliere necklaces? Whatever happened to Todd Wilkins? And is Winston Egbert still a dork? Find out when the book hits stands March 29.

I loved LOVED loved all of the Sweet Valley books! I started reading Sweet Valley Kids when I was younger and had so many of their books!!!

I LOVED these books as a child. I had over 30 volumes. I saved them all (and my Judy Blume books) for my kids. My daughter LOVES SVH!!!! And my boys have read Superfudge over and over!!!

Should I be ashamed to admit I put that book on pre-order at Amazon a few months ago??

:rolleyes1

:cheer2:

I grew up reading the SVH books.

OMG I am so excited.

Does that make them 26? I'm bummed their size 6 figures got younger than I am too, somehow.

I loved the books too!! Wow, hadn't thought about them in years. The tv series didn't last long, but the books were great.

Hmmm. Loved the books growing up, but I will wait for some reviews before I buy this book.

Wow what a blast from the past! :lmao: I haven't thought about these books in a long time. I loved them! Wasn't there a show based on the series at some point or am I just hallucinating?

I was more of a Babysitters Club fan and didn't read SVH but I'm curious to see how they all turned out!

I remember this. Now I feel old. Didn't they have a tv show as well as the books? I seem to recall one.

I loved the books when I was kid. The TV show I think lasted a 2 or 3 years not sure but it was aired through syndication and I remember the Fox affiliate in my area aired episodes on Saturdays afternoons in between paid programming shows for awhile then they stopped.

On all my books, the covers were drawn, not actual photos of real people. Are they that way now?

Do you rember the special ones that would come out? Like when Jessica and Elizabeth had to spend their summer in the country??? Or the one when they were skiing and Elizabeth dreamt Jessica died??

Oh, I loved those books....:lovestruc

Or when Jessica dyed her hair black to be a model?

When Elizabeth was the "bad" twin?

Amy Sutton came back to town and Enid felt replaced?

:rotfl: I can go on!!!!

I remember the one with the "ithig" language and the one where elizabeth and jessica DIDN'T switch places for april fools but jessica got everyone to act like they did and made elizabeth believe she was failing tests and stuff :rotfl2:

There is a Sweet Valley Facebook group for the new book. I admit I am part of the group.

I discovered SV when I was in sixth grade (1987). I first read Sweet Valley Twins, which had just come out, and since I always had to wait each month for the latest book I started reading Sweet Valley High. I have a trunk of them at home at my mom's house.

I was also a BSC reader....awhile back they came out with a BSC pre-quel as to what was going on in Kristy's, Mary-Ann's, Dawn's, and Claudia's life just before Kristy had her Great Idea!

In college I got into SV University for a bit, buit then Wal-Mart stopped carrying the books (the only place to get them in my college town). They even did a re-release of SVH, making it more modern with the chapters starting off with email snippets and IM's.....that was in the early 2000's....don;t know what became of that. I think SVH and a rival school had to merge together so there were new characters and some of the old were gone.

Oh and my weekly allownace went towards the purchase of SVT, SVH, BSC books each month. My mom would often "hit me where it hurt" by not buying me the books if I hadn't done my chores. I used to claim that she was witholding her child from READING which was important and educational.

Elizabeth is looking for revenge against Jessica:scared1:

What happened to her? Other than being kidnapped by that orderly of course:lmao:

I always thought it would be the other way around:rotfl2: God this takes me back. The twins really started me down my path of reading.

Dare I pre-order it?

I am so excited!!
