remember... Disney Gift Boxes

Remember when you bought something really nice or very fragile, they used to wrap it up safely and put it into a colorful WDW gift box? Ya know, with the characters and the castle and the logo?

Those days are soon to end and the logo boxes will be extinct! WDW will be switching over to plain white boxes in a very short time. CM's are already gearing up (or maybe down) for the change. Now your gifts getters won't know it's something special from a magical place. Maybe it could be from K-Mart!

So save all those pretty boxes, maybe they will be collector's items for eBay one day.

I guess, after all is said and done, you can't have that little extra classy touch... and the rights to Marvel comics too...

What's next? Brown paper bags???

We still have a half decent supply of our Disney boxes and we use them frequently. The size that I miss most is the shoe box size. We haven't had any of those in years now.

I really miss the little jewelry size like for rings and necklaces...

Not that I wear either one...

I was in the Disnet store (at mall) yesterday. They are selling gift boxes- several different sizes.

I purchased a M&M wedding ornament at WoD last week and wasn't given a box at all. They wrapped it in that funky brown stuff but I was bummed there was no box. Of course I didn't ask either as I was short on time and the lines were a bit long.

Haven't seen the new boxes yet, but I've heard they are white with a small gold Mickey head silhouette.
