I just canceled our Golf Cart rental for Sept 30 to Oct 2. No idea if those have been scarce or not - but thought I'd let you good folks know.

Sorry you can't use the cart, @Cynner. Do you still have your trip planned to WDW for those dates anyway and just won't need the cart? Looks like you are doing a 3-way split stay then according to your signature currently.

Given that cart rentals can only be made to Fort guests, I'm sure a cabin/camper guest will snap it right up.

Gonna be crazy around WDW on the 50th anniversary.

Thanks for letting folks know.

Yeah; we have made a Cabin rental at the 500 day mark for the 50th anniversary. Then we got the golf cart after realizing really how crazy crowded it would be on the buses and I'm just not up for walking the mile from the boat to the cabin area. With my worries on how bad the crowds would be, when someone posted they'd just given up a Contemp Garden we grabbed it so we can just walk into MK on Oct 1. It's about 70 or so more a night (with the additional increase for parking) taking into account the Golf cart too, so it was easy to rationalize. We're using canceled DVC credits from the closure period for a AK Villa 2 bedroom and having my husband's in-laws stay with us who we haven't seen since our last trip to WDW in Feb 2020. They both need scooters, which are getting dropped off at AK at 8am, so I was also worried about getting up early enough to load the car, return the golf cart, unload the car to the concierge, get to AK by 8am, load the scooters and then get to rope drop. Instead Grabbed up AK Club level for a resort day to try that out for the first time and for a much easier room transfer when the clock is ticking.
Hope to meet Wilderness friends on a later trip in '22!

Hey, for only $70 more per night net, I would have snapped up the Contemporary Garden Wing room too. Smart move to be able to walk back and forth to MK. Have a great stay.
