Thanks for all the cool pictures.

Happy Belated Anniversary! I am getting caught up and just saw your updates! I hope you both had a nice day.

Amazing! I know you are so proud of yourself - and Mark! :woohoo: You are such an inspiration!!!
Thank you!!

Wow! You both look amazing! You have sooooo much to be proud of! :goodvibes
Thanks!!

WOW, Leslie! The difference is UNBELIEVABLE!! So proud of you and Marc!!

You're right- what a difference a year can make!
It's been a crazy year, but totally worth it.

This comparison is just unbelieveable! You have come such a long way! You look really wonderful and so happy in the picture from this weekend! Congratulations on your weight loss! You really have worked hard for it! And I think looking at the pictures I can't understand why people make more comment about it to Marc than to you. Both of you have changed so much!
People always comment on Marc more, I don't know why either because when I look at pictures I see a difference for sure in myself.

That was a sweet gift from your mom. :)

You guys are looking good! :cool1:
Thank you!

Happy Anniversary! And congratulations, again, on your accomplishments. You look great and more importantly FEEL great (you can tell from the pictures!). Now that is one terrific anniversary present!

And love your idea of a photo every year. Your 50th anniversary will be a breeze to plan. ;)
Yes, I feel 100x's better than I did last year at this time. It's crazy how better I feel.

The photo every year is a wonderful idea! I'll have to mention that to my DH, I like it. :thumbsup2

And you both look amazing. I think if you ever get down because you feel like you should have lost more, you need to look at that photo comparison and see how far you've come, my dear! Truly, you've both done so well.
I figure it will be super easy for my future children to throw me a big ol' anniversary party. :rotfl:

Thanks. I do look at the photos a lot, they keep me going.

Thank you! We are keeping at it, slowly but surely.

Remember when I said I was done switching the dates for this trip....??

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Well....I lied.

I've switched again. I think I have good reason and that's enough for me.

Let's talk about my stress level for a minute.

I've got a lot going on at the moment, between work, school, being a wife and just normal everyday things I'm stressed to the max. I also tend to be a stressful person even when I don't have a lot going on so right now frazzled is the word that best describes me. Plus I'm always looking at the bigger picture which includes a new career and hopefully moving to Maine next summer.

Add to that the stress of training and thinking about a 5k. Now, I know I can do the 5k. What I don't like about it is that I felt like it was over taking my relaxing Disney trip with my husband.

The last few nights I've been in a funk. And I finally figured out that it was the 5k that was weighing on me. I talked it over with Marc and we decided to switch our dates.

The NEW dates are Friday September 3 - Sunday September 12.

The Resort? 9 Glorious Nights at Riverside. :woohoo:

I will be spending my Birthday in Disney, which is exciting. Plus our trip is only 66 days away. Speaking of countdowns...I might be changing that too. ;)

I was worried that you all would be disappointed in me, but it's not that I'm scared I can't do the 5k. I know I can, I just need this trip to be all about Marc & I and not anything else. I know I will do a 5k at Disney someday, this year is just not the year. I want this relaxing trip with Marc before our life gets even crazier. :goodvibes

You two look great! Your dress is very cute. Happy belated Anniversary. I love the idea of a picture every year. No one should be disappointed with you. You and Marc have every right to enjoy a relaxing trip. Plus, you'll have more time to prep yourself for the 5k in the future. Yay only 66 days!

You did what is best for you and Marc and that is all that matters!! Putting yourself first sometimes is hard when it means giving up on other goals or opportunities. I think you made a very wise decision. Recognizing that, for right now, your need to relax and enjoy a much needed vacation with your husband is the higher priority is a good thing!!

Plus any switch that means less days on a countdown, well, that's just BONUS!

:rotfl:

Besides, this just means you'll have to schedule a Disney 5k for next year. :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Don't feel bad about the Disney 5K. When I first heard you were doing it I was worried that you would stress about it and maybe not have the best vacation because of it. It's one thing to go to Disney to do a race, it's another thing to add a race to Disney vacation. Heck just walk around World Showcase 3 times and then buy yourself a pin! Just like a 5K with a medal:thumbsup2

I caught a bit of the chat above....more people probably comment on Marc's weight loss only because a lot of people are uncomfortable commenting about a woman's weight EVEN if their comments are going to be positive. I once lost 35 lbs and people would ask if I had changed my hair color

:lmao: You are too funny! But I think it is a wise decision. Rather take things a bit more easy. You really ought to have an unstressful trip with Marc to celebrate your accievement and to enjoy your new energy levels. Having to worry about a race and then feeling tired afterwards might in the end lead to physical tiredness again. And a birthday at WDW is always a wonderful thing! :goodvibes

I think that might be true. Telling a woman that she lost weight, might be seen as implying to say her that she was overweight before. And since that would be considered an insult, many people might feel uncomfortable about how to say something at all.

Always great to have a reason to go back (as if DIS'ers need one!). I applaud your goal of a relaxing trip before more craziness comes along! Enjoy!!

66 days. Wahoo!!!!!

Oh gosh, lol, I knew you'd switch again! Of course you have good reason though. The whole idea of going back to Disney with Marc, was....you and Marc time. And 5k seemed like a good idea, especially to motivate you with your exercise, but you're right, it completely hogged up your you and Marc time. I agree...switch those dates, focus on school right now and just enjoy that you and Marc will have your perfect vacation :goodvibes

You have issues, you know that, right?

But I love you just the way you are! :goodvibes

I think you're the queen of date switching, but as long as you're happy, that's all that matters.

And who am I to talk given that I'm theorizing about my next trip which is well over a year away. :lmao:

A change? I'm shocked! :rotfl:

Like others have said, there is nothing disappointing in you making this an 'LL and Marc" trip, and just an "LL and Marc" trip. Another trip can be the "5K trip".

Your birthday in Disney... nine days at Riverside.... 66 days away = :woohoo:

Can't wait to see your new countdown. I'm still looking for inspiration for mine.

I think you made a great decision - you definitely don't want any stress on, or leading up to your disney vacation! It sounds like you've already got a full plate right now. I'm not quite sure how you're juggling it all! :worship:

I think you are wise to switch your dates again after all this vacation was all about relaxing. I would be switching my dates if I could but it is the only time my dh could get vacation. I am jealous of you because you can move back to Maine. I miss my homestate so much. :sad1:

I am just getting caught up. John and I stayed at Riverside on our honeymoon. We had requested the Mansions and ended up getting Alligator Bayou. I have to say I ended up being pretty happy with that. The resort is super relaxing and Boatwright's is yummy. I think we ate there 3 times on our honeymoon. I understand wanting your trip to be just about you guys having fun and relaxing together so I definitely don't blame you for switching your dates. Plus, you get to spend your birthday there!

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!! party:

You guys look great in your picture!!!!!!

:rotfl:to the date change!!!! You guys are too much. Don't worry about the 5K. There will plenty of 5K's in your future. Anyway, once you do a race or two you realize the real fun is just going out and running.

I will be arriving on the 12th (unless I decide to leave earlier now) ;) I'll talk to my travel partner and see if she cares if I fly out a day earlier. I would really like to go the 12th - 17th, but it would mean 3 different rooms. That's a lot.
