HI LL......:wave2: Just stopping by to say HI! I am waiting for your countdown pictures! popcorn:: I guess where not that close yet, huh?

I'm hoping to do an update tomorrow. I have a wedding today. I'd much rather stay home and update though. ;)

93 days until Disney!!

I can't believe I haven't updated in a week! That is not like me at all, I've been busy though.

I have to share a few pictures from last night. Marc & I went to a wedding at this glorious hotel, Wentworth by the Sea.

It was originally built in 1874.

Here is a picture of it in the 1950's.

It was one of those hopping seaside resorts. Prince Charles even paid a visit in the 70's.

In 1982, the year I was born it was closed down. This is how I saw it as I was growing up. I always wished that someone would buy it and open it back up. I always wanted to stay there.

My whole childhood, there was fundraisers to save the hotel, threats to have it demolished. It appeared on the History Channel part of "America's Most Endangered". It was a roller coaster ride....finally someone bought the property and restored it back to it's glory days. I *think* that they tore most of the original structure down but saved a lot of the things, like one of the domed ceilings for instance.

Anyways, here is what it looks like now.

Why am I telling you all of this? Well, because it relates to Disney for me. As Marc & I were leaving the wedding last night, looking at old pictures in the hallways and such, I had an overwhelming feeling of Disney. Don't ask me why, maybe because it reminds me of the Grand Floridian on a smaller scale but the peace and happiness I had last night was the same peace and happiness I feel at Disney. It was a good feeling. :goodvibes

Marc & I really want to get away there for a night but it costs about what the Grand Floridian costs per night so it will be awhile before we do that. :rolleyes1

Here is a beautiful chandelier that was in the wedding banquet room.

Here is Marc & I at my parents house before we left.

And here is a very dark, distorted panoramic photo of our table.

I have a few updates in the works, maybe even one tonight if I have time. :thumbsup2

Thank you! I'm feeling pretty good about myself in that pic. :rotfl2:

If only Marc would SMILE.

look at the bright side.... my DH not only doesn't smile... he closes his eyes in EVERY picture! Thats why when we go to WDW all the pics of him, he has his sunglasses on....so you can't tell his eyes are closed lol!

Well look at the two of you! Snaaaaaaazzy! I can see why you were reminded of the Grand Floridian, I was too. Then again, we are kinda predisposed to think like that aren't we? ;) I love that you have a light fixture picture and I'm glad you had a great time. :goodvibes

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Maybe I need to do that with Marc, he gets a little squinty in pictures too.

What is funny is that I have never been able to figure out who he looks like in his family...well last night they had this collage of wedding photos from the bride and groom's family. There was a picture of Marc's grandmother and grandfather on their wedding day. Marc never met his grandfather, he died while his mom was a teenager and they have the SAME EXACT eyebrows and eyes. It is scary! I'm going to ask his mom to find us some more pictures of him because I think that is who he looks like.

I also took a picture of a light fixture in the Church. :rotfl2:

I think we are predisposed to think like that but I kinda like it. :rotfl2:

Very cute dress Leslie! Just perfect for dinner on a cruise!;)
That hotel is just beyond gorgeous! How cool the Prince Charles visited!
You and Marc look mahvelous!

You two look GORGEOUS! I'm so glad you had a nice time!

Thank you!! We did have a lovely time. Plus it was the best food I have ever eaten at a Wedding. It was seriously yummy. My cousin has dreams of getting married there...I talked to my Aunt today and told her I fully hope that she does because it was just an amazing wedding.

Thank You, Thank You. I love that dress. At first I thought it was a little too short, my mom had picked it up for me on one of her shopping excursions but I felt fun and flirty in it with the ruffles at the bottom.

Oh, I'm a thinkin' on that cruise thing, trust me. :thumbsup2

That hotel is so pretty! It definitely has a GF feeling to it. What a great picture of you guys, even if he's not smiling. It's so rare to get everyone in my family to smile at the same time without doing what I like to call "the cheesy grin." I can only imagine it will get harder with a fourth person. :lmao:

WOW!! You look stunning!!! Great picture of you and Marc...even if he didn't smile!

You are right that seaside resort does have a GF feel to it! Gorgeous picture of the chandelier!!

Oh my goodness, you look so beautiful!!! :cloud9: A true stunner indeed!

And I definitely see the resemblance to the GF - what a beautiful hotel! I'm glad that someone finally decided to save it!

LL, you look so beautiful in that picture! Marc looks pretty spiffy, too.

The hotel is gorgeous! I am a sucker for Victorian architecture -- I am so glad it was saved and restored!

And hooray for a chandelier picture!

I'm sure it will get harder with a fourth person!

The hotel is gorgeous. I really hope my cousin does indeed get married there, I'm excited to go to another wedding there. :rotfl2:

Thank you! :goodvibes

Thank you! It does have a GF feel, it was so nice there last night as we were walking out. Just so peaceful and romantical.

Awww, thanks!! I'm so happy someone saved it too. It needed to be saved.

Thanks Jackie! I needed to see a picture like that, Marc gets a lot more attention with people actually "seeing" his weight loss that it was nice to see a picture of me that I could tell, you know?

I had to take a chandelier picture for you all. I have to say that the ballroom next to ours had much prettier chandeliers but I couldn't sneak into that wedding reception. :rotfl2:

Holy Moley...look at how skinny you are getting!!!!!! :thumbsup2
Hehehe, I like that word skinny. :rotfl: Thank you!
