I think every teens first car should be a humbling experience.

My first car was a Mercedes.

I can't believe some of the cars kids in this little town have. They have nicer cars than I'll ever own........I'm way too cheap to spend 45 grand on a car.

My cars got progressively worse the older I got until we bought the Volvo a few years back.

So...........DH and I are buying a new-to-us Ford Expedition today! We rolled what's left of the Volvo loan into the Expedition loan and will actually be paying $50 less than we were just for the Volvo. The beast (a 1994 Saturn) will be officially retired. I told Gab we were keeping it for her!

My 1994 Corolla is sitting in front my house waiting to go to the big parking lot in the sky.

Like a fine wine, 1994 was a good year. What did you end up buying? The Beast is still running pretty decently so we aren't sure what the plan for it is.

a new to me 2007 4Runner. Love it and believe I've already hauled alot of friend's stuff around.....

We want and kinda need a suburban but, I don't want the payment or the gas bill. I figure the kids have cramed into the mini van for this long in 3 years Evan will be graduated anyway. Plus, Evan turns 16 tommorow and he gets his own 89 nissan truck, so I don't think he'll be riding anywhere with us if he can help it.

I hear ya, it cost Michael $70 to fill the Beast aka Mufassa today!

An interesting side note on our loan. To make a very long story short, by finacing thru the Credit Union in SLC we were able to redo the Volvo loan and the Expedition loan and are paying $50 less a month than for the Volvo alone! Look into your local CU.

Thanks Honey, the interview is this morning at 08:45 then straight in to work so at least I've not got all day to stress myself out over it. Feeling relatively calm just now but I'm sure that'll change in about an hours time

BTW did I mention that I am now officially in the single digit gang and only have 8 more sleeps until we're off

Thanks for the the interview went pretty well I think. I'm not sitting thing "Oh no, I should have said THIS or THAT", I feel I answered the questions and cenarios as honestly as I could so if the answers weren't what they were looking for then I'm obviously not right for the job...c'est la vie. The only thing is that they've got a couple more days if interviews to go and they won't be advising the successful applicants until the first week in August...do you think I should pass on Mickey's email address to them?!?!?!
