So Disney has announced that a reimagined TotW lounge is going to reopen. But what doesn "reimagined" mean? Time to put your imagineer hard hat on, how would you change the TotW lounge?

I would expand the inside area to include more tables abd have a kitchen where they can make simple items. Today, they put in the orders and the food comes up from the Steakhouse 71 kitchen, a long way away.

Disney will probably "re-imagine" it as a paid experience.

My first thought when I saw the announcement was that they were going to "re-imagine" it as a benefit only available to blue card holders.

That could happen too. I just figured If Disney wants to make money..like they were when it was open..they need people to buy the drinks and foods..and charging a cover charge so everyone can come up but have DVD cover the cost for blue card, it may be a win win.

I just can’t imagine what else could be re imagined than charging!! Lol

If it wasn't profitable before the pandemic when it was all DVC members, I don't see them cutting off more customers by making it blue card holders only

Me either..but I could see there being a cover charge for those not eligible for membership Magic.

I have never been there before but the question I had was when you went there were you obligated to buy anything? How many people went there and spent as little as possible and just went for the view and to hangout. That all takes the place of people willing to pay for drinks and make money. So maybe a cover charge could help that issue (if it was an issue).

Honestly, I could see a cover charge for everyone. Parties that order 1 drink for the table and camp for the fireworks are not profit sources. And we have ALLLLLL seen that happen.

But DVD could decide to cover the cost for those eligible for extras…so free to members, but like the Epcot lounge, cost paid by their marketing budget.

I could see them doing a fireworks dinner package for DVC only. With ADRs and pricing similar to the Epcot fireworks dinners.
Yeah - this I do see - because the old ‘un-imagined’ lounge was free to Blues AND their guests IIRC. So anyone without the Blue (Riff-Raff Resale 😁) could just wait for someone with and snag an invite.

It was open to all DVC..including resale owners not eligible for membership extras.

Only went to lounge once. Service that time waa very slow. No place to sit. Had to order from crowded bar.

After that ,we just went up just before the fireworks and and watched them from the deck. View is better from the deck than the lounge and te deck wasn't very crowded the times we were there, even though the lounge looked busy and crowded. Lots of others were on the deck with us, including kids in pajamas, lol. Hardly anyone on the deck had a drink of any kind.

Same experience with slow service. We had seats and wanted to spend money but servers ignored our area. We left. I don’t buy the not profitable argument. Not well run I would believe.
