Rehabs? I'm about to cry...

We just got back last week, and it really didn't feel like we were missing all that much. The scrims covering the castle and Small World bugged me the most, but it didn't really impact us at all. Still more than enough to do. Rescheduling for the 60th isn't a bad idea, so have fun in June!

There were even some pleasant surprises...like the Lunar New Year celebration at DCA. Loved the dragon dancers and getting names written in Chinese.

As a WDW vet with a plan for breakfast/lunch/dinner...for this trip I only had 1 ADR, F! experience at Blue Bayou, and it was the right choice. Front row and center with a cushy chusion ; ) Waiting for a water table (twice, oops...wandered out of pager area) was also a winner for DS4 and DS9.

Um, the measle outbreak occurred in December. That is when people were infected. The park is not in an upheaval. And if you have never been to DL, it is NOT small compared to DW. Maybe in size, but not attractions. DL & CA have only a couple less attractions that all 4 parks in DW. I am a frequent visitor to both DLR and DW, and am always amazed how many attractions DL has managed to fit into such a small space. Without, I might add, getting ride of a ride to build a new one like DW does.

The first cases were diagnosed in December. More cast members were diagnosed in January, and they're still finding new cases. We rescheduled our trip to June. I know it sounds trivial, but it eases our minds that everything will be open again and we can enjoy the 60th celebration in all its glory! You all gave such great advice, thank you so much! See you in June!

I think you'll be so happy that you rescheduled for June. The 60th stuff should be amazing. We are going in June too, we can't wait!

Right there with ya I wouldn't feel so cheated if I at least had a castle to look at even DH asked why we were paying full price for 2/3 of a park? I'm trying really hard not to let it bother me, I'm failing miserably but I'm trying.

I was just reading the DL update on Mouseplanet and saw picture of Buena Vista street. The trees had those awesome pink blossoms, which I've seen in a few pictures of the Castle and thought they were beautiful. I've always wanted to be at DL and catch a pic or even a glimpse of the castle with these blossoms in full bloom. Today it dawned on me that I'll finally be there at the right time....and Disney decides to take 3 months! to add some paint and fake diamonds to the facade of the Castle. Talk about bad timing.
