Are these closures (Enchanted Oak and Flying Unicorn) permanent are they being rethemed and reopened after HP opens? On the IOA site the Flying Unicorn says "Due to work progressing on Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, The Flying Unicorn attraction is closed. " My poor little DD is crushed that the Flying Unicorn may be gone for good. :sad1:

I believe they are working them into rethemeing of Harry Potter.... don't know about the Enchanted Oak...but, it could be rethemed to work into it also....

Awesome! I'll tell her she just has to wait another year and it will re-open, that should go over well. :rolleyes1

When we wen to US in Oct of 2005 I was very :sad1: that Jaws was closed. I know it maybe a cheesy ride...but I still wanted to ride it. Now we are heading back in December. Do you think they will close Jaws?

I would say no...if the crowds continue to show up.

Fear Factor is closed at Universal Studios until after Halloween Horror Nights. The FF stadium is used for the Bill and Ted show during HHN so it is being transformed for HHN. It will re-open in November.

We'll be there the week before Christmas. Any closures other than Flying Unicorn going on during that time? Thanks!;)

None at this time. RE: the closure of Enchanted Oak, the restaurant was recently torn down in order to make room for the new restaurant for WWoHP, "The Three Broomsticks."

I'm glad we got to eat at Enchanted Oak when we were there in June. I hope that the new restaurant will have the same menu.

Im excited for harry potter!

I have a question if anything will be under rehab during march 2009?

It's way to early to tell. With the construction of the HR3, something might go down at the Studios but that's a long shot. Keep checking back. :thumbsup2

Usually at least one water ride in Toon Lagoon is closed during this time because it's cold (for us in Florida, anyway) so nobody wants to get wet, and not a lot of people come as it is the opposite of peak season during this time and so one ride down won't throw off the balance of ride/show lines. Plus, mostly only locals show up during those months, and they're not too disappointed to see one ride down...I can go back anytime and ride it again. If you want little crowds, but all of the ride open, come in early December (like the first week of December) or in mid-May right before summer 'officially' starts for schools and such.

Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls will be going down for a refurbishment in the beginning of November and will be reopened in time for Thanksgiving. (Nov. 27)

I am so glad Ripshaw Falls will be open In February!! We've been there for the past 4 years in Feb. and have never had the pleasure to ride, it's always closed for refurb. Both my sons are tall enough to ride most everything. They will be so excited.:cool1:

Not really a ride but: Mel's Drive-In will be closed for refurbishment on Nov. 10th for about 8 weeks.
