Regret PAP?

Has anyone purchased a PAP and regretted it??? I'm thinking of going that route just to be able to get into the water parks and DisneyQuest. Does anyone know the "break even" point of the AP vs the PAP?? I know we'll get our money's worth out of the AP-I just need to know how many times we'd have to go to DisneyQuest or the water parks to make it a reasonable upgrade.

TIA!

I have done the AP but not the PAP since the waterparks don't excite me. But from allearsnet, the difference in price (adult) between the PAP and AP is basically $140. So from looking at the prices:

1) if you just want to do waterparks, you are better off buying the waterpark hopper annual pass ($106+)

2) if you just want to do Disney Quest, then you are better off doing the Disney Quest Annual Pass ($95)

3) The single admission price to the water parks is $41+ and Disney Quest is $39+. So you need 3 water park visits plus one Disney Quest visit in order to make the PAP worthwhile.

Someone please check my math.

I should clarify that the above costs are assuming that you are not a DVC member.

Thanks for the math! We're not (yet) DVC members. I'm not too interested in the water parks but DH and DS' are. I also think the boys will be hooked on DisneyQuest. This is something that you would have to purchase at the initial time correct-not something that I could get my AP on day 1 of the trip, go to DQ or a water park on day 4 and decide I want to add the "premium" part of the AP correct?? Just want to make sure.

And as for the medical treatment confusion-sorry guys. I so wasn't thinking of that when I posted!

TIA!

Is Disney Quest free with the PAP? I have the PAP, we've been to the water parks twice, maybe going again, not sure, but I thought that DQ was at a discount rate....guess I just didn't know!! I wanna go and check that out before my dh leaves!!! LOL

Yes.

Ten years ago, we got the premium annual pass and then realized we never used the "premium" side of it. We aren't club kind of people so Pleasure Island was out (please, no discussion on Pleasure Island closing, there are plenty of those threads around). If we would ever go to a water park (which we didn't that entire year), it was going to be less expensive for us to buy a one day pass. We weren't going to go just to go.

The next year, we switched to a regular annual pass and you know what? In those last nine years, we have been to Pleasure Island once but friends had extra tickets so we didn't even have to have passes and we've never been to a water park. Not because we didn't have admission but because we just never wanted to.

This is our second year with AP. The first year we had the PAP and never went to the water parks or DQ (DS15 has lost interest). So this year we dropped the premium part and figured if we decide to do a water park we'll just pay for it.

I think that's what we'll do for next time, is drop the premium part, cause we go to the parks all the time, but only been to the waterparks twice. Don't get me wrong, with as much as we go, these tickets have paid for themselves about 4 or 5 times over, just by going to the parks. I do not regret getting the waterpark option, but I think next year we'll just do the parks.
