Regret Buying BCV Resale but Love DVC

What would happen to resale prices if tomorrow they announced the resort at the Contemporary? Those would command $100 to $110 a point!

I might be a little confused on how DVC works... Could they offer a resort at the Contemporary and (assuming it actually would be in the high demand that some people think) make the point requirement higher - still selling the points at a price comperable to SSR?

I'm not so sure a Contemporary Vacation Club would be in higher demand then the BCV's or BWV's - if you look at the rates of the rooms at the Contemporary & Poly v. BC & BWI they have similar rack rates - the Garden Rooms @ the Contemp. are lower then BC or BWI.

It sure is fun to speculate :)

Sure, that's exactly what they have done already. The points were significantly higher for BWV than OKW. SSR is a fair amount higher than OKW, esp for weekdays. And VWL was the same as BWV and BCV when some of us felt it should have been less. This is how timeshares points systems tend to work.

12 years more also means 12 years more liability in terms of dues, which will be no doubt much higher than the first 12 years. Those 12 years are not "free".
