Well, sent for tickets months ago to next mondays
show but no luck:sad2::sad1: Anyone know anything
about the stand by line, how early one needs to get
there and chances of getting to see the show. I have
checked out their site but just wondering if the 7am
line up time is accurate. Someone told me you have
to be there much much earlier:confused3

Are you going to see this particular show for the guest? Because if that is the case PM me and I can tell you a few secrets even about the Stand By Line too!

Were going to be in the Big Apple next week also and sent in a request last Oct for tickets and never heard from them.

I would kill to see Regis and Kelly!! I wish you the best of luck!

I guess my mom got lucky when she requested ours because they came a bit before our trip to NYC and we got in no problem.

I hate to say though, a ton of people had been in the stand by line since 5am and for our particular day, there were enough ticket holders that only 2 people from the stand by line got it.

I think it really depends on day and season though... we were during the Christmas season which you know in NYC is very crowded all month long.

In line from 5am and no tickets!:sad2:
Such a waste of time not to mention
getting up at the crack of dawn, maybe
we will just forget those plans!:sad1:

As much as I would love to see Wed. show I don't think I'm going to get up that early. Good luck to you

Off topic, but another good show to see is David Letterman and he tapes his shows in the afternoon.:yay:

We just got ticket letter in the mail for April 1 (also my birthday!!!). It says check-in is 7:45. How early do we need to get there? If we have tickets, are we pretty much guaranteed to get in the show or do we still need to get there super early? We will be staying with relatives in NJ and will have to take 1-1.5 hr train ride to get there, so I'm hoping we won't need to line up much earlier before check-in! Any other tips or info would be great!!! Thanks! :)

So, you received your tickets about three wks before the show date.
I've requested tickets for april 26 but haven't heard anything yet.
We had tickets last april. We got there by 7 but we could have gone
later, like you, I wanted to be sure of getting in. I think if your there
by 7:30 with your letter in hand you should be ok. Its a lot of fun,
Regis and Kelly are super nice and talk to the audience during commer
cial breaks. They come right up to the stands. Have a great time!!

I can beat that! I went to NYC on a solo trip a few years ago. I stayed in a hotel on Lexington and 50th. I woke up at 4am to try to get a stand-by ticket to Regis and Kelly. I walked from my hotel to their studio. That was quite a hike. I was excited to see that at 4:50am, I was the first person in line. People started to line up with me around 6am. By 8:45am, when it was getting close to them opening the door, everyone in line figured I would get in, if anyone. I was number 1 and ALONE. I only needed one little seat. A man opened the door at 8:55am and announced there were no stand-by seats available. WHAT??? People in line were arguing with him on my behalf, saying there was no way they didn't have at least one seat. They were saying "just let her in."

Oh well, now though, I am a 45 minute walk away from my hotel room, so I would even miss watching the show. Well, I went in the ABC store where the TV was on. They wouldn't allow us to come in to watch the TV, so I pretended to be shopping (I did buy a little something). Boy was it the show to miss! It was when Regis babysat Kelly's kids, and dropped Jaquin. Michael was horrified, and Regis was bribing him not to tell. :lmao:

So, to answer the OP's question, yes it is very difficult to get in by way of stand-by. I have submitted ticket requests a number of times, and have never received ticktes. :(

I've never attempted to get tickets, but it is strange that the audiences seem to vary from less than 100 up 150. Seems like, if it was that difficult to get in, the audiences would always be 150.
