I was so excited when I saw this thread. I quickly wrote down the words to date and then my hopes fell when I read they call you at home. I completely forgot that. I am not home during the day but thank you for keeping us all updated on what is out there to win.

...I'm in the West Coast and the show starts in NYC at 9:00 am (??)....so if they do call people out here and even in Alaska, it would only be 6:00 am or so... On the contest entry form, it says to list the telephone number on where you will be at 7:00 am. How do they handle contestants who gets picked but live in the West Coast?

I actually won in 1993. They called at 8:00 am & I was "plugged in" to listed to the show at 9:00am and about 9:15 Regis came on & asked me the question.


For the west coast they do call you at 5:00am. I know because they've talked about the time difference when they call different contestants.

5:00 AM???? wow! I'd be too groggy to answer anything even if I know the answer. I've noticed that they hardly have callers from the West Coast. There were a few during this contest....one from Alaska. Thanks for the info!
