Regarding the stroller price increase!!

I just called Guest Services, and they said no, the prices have remained the same - 8 for single, 16 for double -- just like it says here:

unless the CM I spoke to was wrong, where did the price increase rumour come from?

It seems like an awfully big jump in prices to me. We were all set to rent but now I'm researching other options. I will need one in August for my birthday boy who will be 6 while we get there. He's on the smaller size (37 pounds) and while I don't use one at home anymore (but I do use my wagon) I would have to buy a stroller just for the trip. I's need a larger one. Check out these old disney strollers for sale on ebay.

The price increase doesn't go into effect until tomorrow so they would still quote them at the current price right now. We always bring our stroller since it seems to be MOST needed outside of the parks (airport, resort, DTD, etc.)

Well, even the Dis's CM cheshire_figment has reported on the upcoming price change on strollers (and ECVs)...

I stand corrected!! dang, i had hope for a little while!

We're bringing our own umbrella stroller for DD (2.5yo) but I know my 6yoDS will get tired by the end of the day. I think I'll have to bring the sling for DD and let DS sit in the stroller (although he is way over the weight limit) when he gets exhausted!
