There have been different experiences with Emh recently. We will be at WDW the 17th-24th and were only planning to do the morning EMH's. Our first full day would be monday, and had we wanted to do epcot's early entry, now I'm thinking we should just go to MGM that day, as MGM has the later EMH hours the night before...make sense? I do have a PS sceduled at the R&C at 1:30 that day, but could probably be out of MGM and hop to Epcot in time for that. We could then reverse ourselves and do tues. at epcot as opposed to mgm...does this make any sense? Has anyone recently had any epcot early entry experiences they can share? Thanks!

We just came back. The first day we did early morning at MK. The experience was terrible. We decided to not go to a park if it had early morning or evening hours. This seemed to work well for us. We were able to sleep the extra hour and got there when park first opens at 9 and were able to get a lot done. Remember with these new tickets a lot of people do not get the park hopping pass so they usually go to the park on the day it has the extra hours.

Did Epcot early entry on Monday June 13 - walked right in, got Soarin fastpass, got a lot done - very few crowds.

We love the Early Mornings - we have always had great success. Our tip - if you are going to do MK early morning, get there at park opening for early morning - we leave our hotel around 7:15 or 7:30, so that we are one of the first into the park for early entry - we always get a lot done.

I love the morning EMHs especially MK. We are able to do so much during the morning EMHs and then leave that park when after lunch. Same thing with Epcot mornings. We did Soarin' 2x and Living with the Land all under 2 hours.

The only ones we really don't do are MGM and AK mornings because there isn't anything there for us.

Now, evenings are a whole nother story. When they were testing it in May 04, it was great! Now that it's been implemented, I don't think I'd do it when the crowds are high, but they're great during the off-season when parks close early and the crowds are low.

Early mornings are fine for Epcot.
Early mornings are fine at MK if you have small kids that need to ride everything in Fantasyland.....but then you have to get out of there by noon....because it just continues to get crowded.

Don't do morning EMH in AK or MGM....just not worth it. There's too little open, so everyone heads to the same thing.

Our strategy worked fantastic.....whatever had the EMH the night before...that is where we went the next morning....
So EMH at MGM Sunday night....hit MGM on Monday morning right at 9. There were minimal crowds.
I am telling you...it worked out great!

Funny what I heard at the bus stop ....... Wed morning when MK had their EMH we were headed to AK (they had EMH the night before). It was about 8:10 and waiting for the bus. We over heard a family saying "MK is open early today so we can get on lots of things before the crowds come in!"
I felt like screaming......"it is already 8:10......you missed your chance!" They hopped on the MK bus and off they went thinking they were going to be able to get a lot done.
If you plan to do EMH in the morning.....you have to be at the park when they start letting people in. Not 45 minutes later..... :confused3

Tekmom, Thanks for asking this question. I was wondering the same thing. I think I will most likely be headed to the parks that EMH nights the next morning. I might give MK at try because I do plan to get there before it opens. With a DS3, I just can't see us spending late nights in the parks so the mornings are our best bets.

Also, I don't see how people could possibly do the late EMH's and be able to function early for the morning EMH's (just my 2 cents worth).

I hope you have a great vacation & thinks DIS for the great tips!! :earboy2:

Thanks everyone! I'll try emh for epcot the first day and if it's bad, I'll adjust my schedule! Looking forward to a great first trip (or even an okay one)! :flower:

I don't see how either. We didn't... we just did one park for half the day then bopped over to the park that had evening EMH for the rest of the night (right until closed- best time is the last hour to 2hrs of EMH!)- then no lines for bus/etc. But we slept in the next morning and did the same thing again (going to one non-EMH park half the day- then going to evening EMH park in the evening).

I think you'd have to do one or the other- unless you're the type that can get by with an entire trip of never sleeping hardly at all. LOL We just prefer late nights to early mornings- we're not morning people. LOL

We will do the parks the day after night EMH and then the last day we plan and doing evening EMH at MK and stay till it closes. Sleep in the next morning and catch our flight. Hopefully we will get to do some of the rides late as a last night fling!!!!
